Review From User :
"Connecting With Yourself: Why we think, feel and act the way we do" by Vishal Jacob is an extremely well written and informative book!
It is a fine combination of neuroscience, psychology and philosophy. The book deals with some of the most basic and interesting questions of our lives. In author's words, " every life is an interesting story and this story is best written when people go through life's experiences by staying deeply connecting to who they truly are."
Self-introspection is the key concept behind it.
The book is divided into various chapters which enlighten the readers about the different aspects of life like 'why perceptions differ', ' why are we designed to excel at different things', ' what goes behind making the right decisions' and other such life altering questions. The author has quoted various examples to clarify each concept. The best part for me was 'Key takeaways from the chapter' at the end of each chapter which summed up the entire chapter in few words without missing the core essence.
Language is lucid, understandable and helps the readers connect with the author's ideas. The book is extensively researched and author has provided references at the end of the book.
Cover image is attractive, thought-provoking and innovative. Title is inspiring and motivating. Blurb is crisp, concise and gives a clear picture of what the book is all about.
I would like to rate it as 4.7/5.
Indeed, a perfect amalgamation of science and philosophy. Recommend to everyone...
